U.K born but Queens raised Superlative Sain is definitely giving us a unique R&B sound in his latest project entitled “Growth”. The twenty minute , six song EP features Sain wearing his heart on his sleeve and describing his emotions in songs like “Games” and “I can tell.”
“This project means everything and more to me. This project expresses my Growth. I began working on this project five years ago and it took every part of me to pour it into this one. I speak about things that happened recently, love, and things from years ago that needed to be addressed but never did.” he states. Sain is undoubtedly showing off his lyricism skills as well on tracks like “Ex.” Superlative Sain began making music in college in 2010 with his friends in which they created the group “Superlative Reasoning'' talking about things that were going on in the world and using beats that spoke to them. The group stopped making music together but Sain decided to keep the "Superlative" because it means to be the best there is in whatever you’re doing. “I've been a singer my entire life but got into rap and hip-hop more in college and started experimenting with different sounds such as infusing my rapping into my singing.” he says.
For the remainder of 2020 what we can expect from Superlative Sain is new music of course, from the genre of both R&B and Hip-Hop!
“I have a grime/trapish song dropping May 12th called "Basement." It's a little different from the usual style but I wanted to try it out. 😂 Other than that I have a lot of other music that I'm planning and getting ready to release.” Sain states.
