Will Drake Deliver 'Certified Lover Boy' before Summer’s End?

After announcing the release of his latest single “Laugh Now Cry Later” Drake shares with fans the official title of his forthcoming sixth studio album, Certified Lover Boy.

In “Laugh Now Cry Later” featuring Lil Durk, the 33-year old multi-platinum artist filmed the video at Nike’s Headquarters, located in Beaverton, Oregon. Directed by Dave Meyers and produced by Freenjoy also featured cameo appearances from Nike endorsed athletes, Kevin Durant, Odell Beckham Jr, and Marshawn Lynch.

In later Instagram reveals, Designer Ferris Rafauli shares merch items from the Certified Lover Boy collection.

Although there is no set release date for the merch, it can be speculated that these previews are an indication of Drake and other involved partners finalizing marks, crossing T’s and dotting I’s on the merchandise before rolling out.

The Scorpio rapper may delay his release until Fall, which wouldn’t hurt fans since the Toronto artist has already stayed in the forefront with Dark Lane Demo Tapes and other guest features with Future, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Popcaan and others. Closing out the first week of September, it’s important to note that Summer is still here but slowly closing out. Will Certified Lover Boy be a cut that warms us through the colder months? Probably. With September 22 marking the final day of summer, fans will just have to wait and see. It’s rumored that Drake may release his album in October, which would further solidify his October’s Very Own branding but nothing has been confirmed.
